About K4Kreative; About the Artist
About the Business:
K4Kreative, Inc. began by selling artwork on Instagram and vending at events back starting in 2016. Katya Joseph-Goldman, the artist, simply desired to do what she loved and serve her community. In 2020, Katya officially incorporated K4kreative, Inc. and has since expanded her reach.
About the Artist (and the Business):
Katya is a native to Queens, NY and first generation Haitian American. She developed her strong ties to her Haitian roots through endless historical stories, folk tales, and the family traditions that were carried out through her parents and family. It was very early on that she developed a center of strength rooted in the knowledge of the amazing heritage that she carried in her blood.
Katya began painting professionally in 2016 and has combined her talents as a visual and performance artist to inspire others. Her paintings tell a story of the beauty, pain, and power of black people. She sells her original artwork on canvas, as well as products such as journals, memory games and more. Her dream of putting her artwork on apparel came to life July, 2025 when she began selling Mumus!
Her journey has led her to work with many programs throughout the city such as Riker’s Island, NuVision, World Rhythm Academy, FLOTUS, Elite Learners Inc and more, offering educational resources, products and services to empower and protect the BIPOC community.
Currently, Katya is a full time Creativepreneur and an avid activist for the black and brown community. She became a Black Maternal Health Advocate and Enthusiast in 2018 when she first learned about Doulas. In 2023, she launched “Chocolate Wombs” which is a community event to connect expecting families and mothers to Birth Workers in Queens, Long Island and Brooklyn, NY.
She is the owner of K4Kreative, Inc. where she heals and marries her love for the arts and community under one house. Most importantly, Katya is a child of God striving every day to serve Him and be a vessel. Katya is in the process of building her Non-Profit where she can distribute the “Dr. Jean Joseph Scholarship” to cover the costs of Doula services for families in need. In the future, she hopes to create an Art center where she may counsel and teach both visual and performance art to students of all ages.
